Booking Terms

All bookings are made with Dipaways. When making a booking or using our services, you’re agreeing to the terms below. Please take a moment to review them before confirming your trip.

Booking Requirements
•Group Getaways: For new or seasoned travelers 21 and up. No age limits.
•Private Getaways: For friends or families. Reach out to us with any specific questions or requirements for a trip.

What Information We Collect
We collect specific personal details necessary for the success of your trip or other service with us. This information is used responsibly to facilitate a smooth service and safe trip. We ensure that all sensitive personal information is securely stored and purged once it is no longer needed.

Trip Inclusions and Exclusions
Your specific trip's inclusion and exclusions can be found on either the trip proposal, trip booking page, or the finalized pre-trip documents. In general, Dipaways trips include luxury accommodations, ground transportation including airport transfers, activities, meals, local guides/hosts, and a professional photographer, as outlined in your final trip itinerary. Inclusions may differ from trip to trip. Flights or any other travel expenses are not included, unless specified.

Passport and Travel Requirements
When traveling abroad, your passport should be valid for at least six months after your trip. While our team is available to offer assistance, it’s up to you to secure any required visas or entry documents for your destination. Dipaways is not responsible if you’re denied entry due to missing or incorrect travel documents.

Staying Safe and Healthy
Your safety and health is our top priority. With our modernized protocols recognized as industry leading, we are committed to following both national and international health guidelines. Our team members are trained to maintain safety and manage emergencies throughout the journey, but you are ultimately responsible for taking personal precautions to safeguard your health while traveling.

By booking, you understand that all travel exposes you to various environments, which may include unknown harmful conditions or illnesses. While our team continuously assesses safety conditions at all destinations and reserves the right to adjust itineraries as necessary, it is ultimately your responsibility to remain informed and make choices that work for you.

Respect for Local Laws and Conduct
We’re committed to responsible, respectful travel. We ask that all travelers follow the laws, customs, and regulations of the destinations we visit and show respect for local communities, cultures, and fellow travelers. If a traveler violates local laws, causes harm, or disrupts the experience for others, Dipaways reserves the right to remove them from the trip immediately, without a refund. In these cases, any costs or arrangements to return home will be the traveler’s responsibility.

Photos, Videos, and Marketing
By using our services, you grant us permission to use photos or videos taken during your trip or event for any purposes we choose, including but not limiting to our website, advertisements, television, or digital streaming. You agree to let us use them in any medium, and you provide us with a royalty-free, worldwide license to do so. However, if there is a photo or image you'd prefer we not use, let us know and we'll try our best.

Flexible Payment Options
Dipaways offers flexible payment options to make paying for your trip easier. A deposit, which varies by trip, is required to confirm your booking. We also provide automated monthly payment plans that are managed online or by contacting our team. Full payments must be received at least 60 days before your experience to ensure your reservation is secured.

For added convenience, we offer financing through Affirm, which allows you to spread the cost of your trip over time. This option is subject to Affirm’s terms and conditions, which you can review during the approvals process. Please be aware that Dipaways cannot assist with any questions related to Affirm.

Commitment to Supporting Underserved Communities
Dipaways is dedicated to supporting underserved and underrepresented communities in the destinations we visit. This commitment may involve engaging with local cultures in ways that expose travelers to raw and authentic experiences. While we strive to provide enriching interactions, such engagements can sometimes lead to unique or unexpected situations. By participating in our trips, you acknowledge and accept that these experiences may vary significantly from conventional tourism, and you agree to approach them with an open mind and respect for the local culture. Dipaways is not responsible for any unforeseen circumstances that may arise during these interactions.

Trip Plan Changes
Travel is amazing but sometimes unpredictable. We plan each experience with care, but sometimes itineraries need to adjust due to factors beyond our control. This may include adjustments to the itinerary, methods of transportation, accommodations, activities, meals, or other elements of your trip due to present circumstances, safety considerations, or operational changes. Trip pricing and the cost for additional services can change at any time. Dipaways reserves the right to modify or cancel any trip at any time and for any reason. If any significant change is necessary, we’ll always let you know as soon as possible and assist with your next steps.

Optional Activities
Activities on our experiences are encouraged but always optional. When you participate in activities beyond our experience, the contract is directly with the activity provider, not Dipaways or its partners.

Changes To Your Booking
You can make changes to your booking up to 60 days before departure. You might switch to another trip or transfer your booking to someone else who meets the requirements. Unfortunately, no changes are guaranteed within 60 days of departure and remain at our full discretion.

Inclusivity and Mutual Respect
We believe that travel is for everyone. At Dipaways, we celebrate people of all backgrounds, identities, and abilities. No matter where you’re from, who you love, or what you can or cannot do, we’re committed to making you feel safe, respected, and valued. We will make every effort to accommodate special requests to enhance your experience. In cases where we may not be fully equipped to meet certain needs, we’ll communicate this openly and kindly. By booking with us, you agree to embrace this inclusive and respectful mindset, creating a welcoming space for all who work and travel with us.

Upgrades Or Additional Services
Dipaways offers the option to upgrade certain elements of your trip. Upgrades may include premium accommodations, exclusive activities, or additional amenities and services. Upgrades or additional services are subject to availability and may vary depending on the destination and season. Costs may be additional to your trip price and will be outlined in detail before confirming any changes.

Travel Insurance / Refundable Trips
After booking with us, we strongly recommend that all travelers purchase travel insurance to cover unexpected health issues, travel disruptions, or any unexpected circumstances that may arise during your trip. Most insurances require you to purchase it between 7-14 days after booking. For maximum flexibility, consider adding “Cancel for Any Reason” coverage to your policy—this can help keep your trip as refundable as possible, offering peace of mind in case your plans change. In some cases, travel insurance is required, and we may need to collect your insurance details before departure. Coverage should include health, trip cancellations, personal liability, lost luggage, and personal items.

Booking Credits and Transfers
We’re happy to offer trip credits for eligible bookings, providing flexibility for your future travel plans. Trip credits can be applied to any Dipaways experience, and allow you to reschedule or choose a different destination with ease.

•Validity: Trip credits are valid for three years from the date of your original booking, unless otherwise specified.
•Expiration: Unused trip credits will expire after the validity period and cannot be extended or reinstated. In most cases, we may donate a portion to the underserved communities we visit.
•Rebooking: Trip credits can be applied directly to an eligible booking. If the new booking exceeds the credit amount, you will only need to pay the remaining balance.
•Transferable: Trip credits are transferable by the original booking holder.

Flexible Cancellation Options
As travelers, we understand that plans can change, which is why we strive to provide a variety of flexible options for cancellations. We’re pleased to offer flexible cancellation options, however, we strongly encourage all travelers to review existing benefits or consider purchasing additional travel coverage, including “Cancel for Any Reason”, which can help keep your expenses 100% refundable.

If You Need To Cancel
•Within 7 Days of Booking: You can receive a full refund or trip credit.
•After 7 Days: Cancellations receive a full trip credit.
•Missed Trips: If you miss a trip or leave early, no refund or credit is provided.

Credits for cancellations within 60 days of the trip start are minus any unrecoverable costs.

If We Need To Cancel
In the rare event that we need to cancel a trip, we’ll inform you as soon as possible and offer either a full credit or a refund, minus any unrecoverable costs. We’re not responsible for any additional costs such as flights or visa fees. For added protection, consider travel insurance to cover any potential losses.

Trip Upgrades Or Additional Services
Dipaways offers the option to upgrade certain elements of your experience. Upgrades may include upgraded accommodations, activities, or additional amenities and services. Upgrades are subject to availability and may vary depending on the destination and season. Upgrade costs are additional to your trip price and will be outlined in detail before confirming any changes.

Tipping and Gratuities
Our trips are designed to be inclusive, covering nearly everything you’ll need for a memorable experience. However, if you’d like to show appreciation to our team or local partners, tips are entirely optional and always appreciated. For your convenience, you can leave a tip directly on our website, which will avoid extra transaction or currency exchange fees. Tips are never expected, but they’re a great way to recognize the efforts of those who helped make your trip special.

Responsibility for Personal Charges
By booking with us, you agree to be responsible for any personal charges incurred during your trip, including but not limited to room service, property damages, restaurant or bar tabs, and other unpaid expenses. While we will make every effort to contact you first, we reserve the right to charge any payment method on file to settle outstanding balances after the trip. Unpaid expenses may result in additional actions, including legal measures to recover costs and potential restriction from booking future trips with us. By booking, you acknowledge and accept these terms.

Understanding Travel Risks
We know that travel, especially to new and adventurous destinations, can come with inherent risks. While we carefully assess safety information and plan each trip with care, traveling to unfamiliar places may involve potential challenges related to local conditions, customs, and the natural environment. We encourage you to be informed about your destination and understand that all travel can carry a certain level of risk. By booking with Dipaways, you acknowledge these potential risks and agree to participate in the experience with awareness and understanding. Your safety is always our top priority, and we’re here to support you throughout your journey.

Release of Liability
Dipaways partners with a network of providers to deliver our experiences. While we carefully select contractors, we are ultimately not responsible for their actions or omissions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release Dipaways, its owner(s), employees, contractors, and any other representatives from liability for any damages, injuries, or losses you might experience in connection with your trip or our services.

Protecting Your Data
We use your personal information as needed to operate your trip and communicate with you. We may share relevant details with trusted partners and service providers to facilitate your travel. For more, see our Privacy Policy.

Governing Law
California laws govern these terms, and any legal concerns or disputes are to be initiated in San Diego, California. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the other terms remain effective.
