Dipaways is taking you on an unforgettable trip to Accra, one of West Africa’s most vibrant cities. Our exciting (and one-of-a-kind) trip is designed to show a different side of Ghana. Together we’ll vibe at Afrochella – the continent’s Coachella, spend quality time in a local village and school, explore bustling markets, and cook authentic food with locals. We’ll also dive into the history of the West African slave trade, take African dance and drum lessons, trek to hidden waterfalls, enjoy a peaceful ride on the river, and escape to beautiful beaches together. Not to mention, we’ll afro-dance our way into the new year together. So let’s dip away to Ghana and see Accra like never before!

Day 1
Welcome to Accra, the cultural center of Ghana! Our driver will meet you at the airport and bring you to our gorgeous hotel. After you get settled, we’ll gather for an authentic kickoff dinner at one of Accra’s tastiest restaurants.
Day 2
Today we’re going to Afrochella! The lively festival attracts thousands from around Africa and highlights up-and-coming millennial talent. You’ll experience the latest music, art, food, fashion, and so much more. Afterward, you can hang around to dance the night away or relax at our hotel.
Day 3
Today’s about the locals. We’re visiting a local village where you’ll be welcomed by its elders and spend the day learning their customs. You also enjoy an authentic Ghanaian lunch with villagers. Afterward, we’ll visit the village’s cocoa plantation and a local school to give back!
Day 4
You can’t visit West Africa without experiencing its amazing food. You’ll spend the morning at a bustling market before cooking authentic West African cuisine with locals. From there we’ll dive into the region’s horrific past of slavery and racism. After free time you’ll enjoy a tasty dinner at one of our favorite local restaurants.
Day 5
The rhythm of Ghana is like no other. You’ll be ready to afro-dance your way into the new year after our traditional dance and drum lessons. In the evening we’ll gather for one last dinner of the year before an unforgettable New Year’s Eve!
Day 6
Today we’re exploring a different side of Ghana. After a scenic drive through the Accra plains, we’ll spend the morning in Shai Hills watching the local wildlife. Afterward, we’ll take a relaxing boat ride on the beautiful Volta River and trek through the forest to hidden waterfalls. Later we’ll return to Accra and enjoy dinner together.
Day 7
Let’s spend the first day of the year on the beach soaking up the African sun. After surf lessons with our local instructors, you can relax on the beach or explore. For lunch, we’ll gather for a private beach BBQ with locals. Later in the evening, we’ll enjoy a special final dinner together.
Day 7
Say your goodbyes, for now. After breakfast, you can hang out or explore until your departure time. Our private shuttles will take you to the airport.
